Family photoshoot locations around Farnham, Surrey
Farnham in Surrey offers beautiful backdrops for capturing your family memories. With its mix of historic buildings, parks, and scenic countryside, there are endless possibilities for family photo sessions in and around town.
Read on for my top picks of locations to get those perfect family portraits.
Alice Holt Forest
This Forestry of England woodland near Farnham has lovely pathways and a Go Ape ropes course that make for active, adventurous family photos. We can capture your little ones climbing trees or walking hand-in-hand down forest trails. We are sure to spot a Gruffalo and maybe some deers!
Farnham Park
This grand 70-acre park right in town has got some lovely tree-lined pathways and good picnic spots on the Great Lawn easily accessible from the car park.
Farnham Pottery
The rustic workshops and country cafe at this pottery centre create wonderful rustic photo settings. We can capture some candid shots of your family painting pottery together or enjoying cake and hot chocolates.
Waverley Abbey Ruins
Waverley Abbey, built in the 12th century a stone’s throw from the River Wey, was the first Cistercian abbey in England. Now, the ancient vine-covered stone ruins provide an enchantingly whimsical backdrop for family portraits. We’ve got archways and crumbling abbey walls that the kids will delight exploring. And right next to the ruins, we’ve got a 500-year-old yew tree, a true “tree treasure”! A truly magical setting for special family photos!
Lakeside Views at Frensham Ponds
The scenic heath and waters of Frensham Great and Little Ponds provide serene natural settings for family photos. We can try the grassy banks, sandy beaches or walking trails for a variety of backdrops. Axe Pond located sort of between the other two is my personal favourite!
The Sculpture Park at Churt
This unique 10-acre park showcases modern sculptures and art installations, perfect for quirky and contemporary family photos. Kids can climb on sculptures for playful shots!
Or maybe you’ve got your own spot that hasn’t made it to my list but is really close to your heart? Let me know in comments!
